Welcome to ABATE of Minnesota

ABATE of Minnesota

American Bikers for Awareness, Training, and Education (ABATE) of Minnesota is a not for profit, grass roots organization that is committed to educating motorcyclists and the general public about motorcycling.

ABATE members ride many different types and brands of motorcycles. We are all people with a common interest in a common activity—motorcycling. The fact that we share an interest in motorcycling is more important than the type of motorcycle we ride.

Save the Date for These Three Events in 2018 !!!

March 14th - Bikerday at the Capitol

Make plans now to attend A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota’s 13th annual Bikerday at the Minnesota State Capitol on Wednesday March 14th. It seems every year gets more challenging than the last at the Minnesota Legislature. A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota has a long history of protecting the rights of freedom minded motorcyclists and pushing for common sense motorcycle safety issues. We also have a great respect at the Capitol. This comes from decades of A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota members being involved in the political process. With 2018 being an election year, it is more important than ever to have a strong showing at Bikerday. Tell the boss today that you need March 14th off work!

March 23rd to 25th – Heartland S.T.E.A.M.

S.T.E.A.M. is a seven State Motorcycle Rights Group.  It is made up of the A.B.A.T.E. groups in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois.  S.T.E.A.M. is an acronym for Seminar to Educate and Motivate. The seven S.T.E.A.M. states rotate hosting the event and 2018 will be A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota’s turn to show off our organization and our great state. It is an excellent opportunity to meet and brainstorm with fellow motorcycling freedom fighters from the Midwest.  S.T.E.A.M. is essentially like a large A.B.A.T.E. University, but on a regional basis.  A lot of the ideas that A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota originated and proven successful have been taken to Heartland S.T.E.A.M. and shared with our surrounding states. The same is true for ideas taken from S.T.E.A.M. and brought back to Minnesota. It’s a wonderful partnership that has been working great for 30 years. This is also a fundraising event with all the profits going to the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) to protect our rights on the national level. So please participate and ask Jane Doyle how you can help make this a huge success. Don’t miss it!

April 20th to 22nd - A.B.A.T.E. University

A.B.A.T.E. University is a tradition for A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota members going back to almost the founding of our organization. For 2018 Jane Doyle and her A.B.A.T.E. U team of volunteers has a great lineup of events and a few surprises! The classes and events at A.B.A.T.E. U over the years have fired up the attendees at the perfect time of the year. A.B.A.T.E. U also raises funds that help to protect your right to ride, promote motorcycle safety and motorist awareness of motorcyclists on the road. Be sure to add A.B.A.T.E. U to your “must do” list!
