ABATE of Minnesota Supports Governor Pawlenty's Decision to Proclaim May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month
In his proclamation, Governor Pawlenty recognized the motorcycle as an efficient, popular, and congestion relieving part of the transportation mix. He also called for increased knowledge of the needs of all highway users, and encouraged everyone to exercise added caution to make our roadways safer and more enjoyable to all. ABATE of Minnesota will continue to:
Promote motorcycle safety training, including beginner and experienced rider courses.
Promote motorist awareness of motorcyclists through our Share the Road program.
Promote increased penalties for motor vehicle operators who drive in a negligent manner and harm or kill others.
ABATE of MN hopes that Governor Pawlenty's proclamation serves as a foundation for increased awareness by all roadway users.
